Information

The club caters for swimmers aged 19 and over who wish to train in a club environment either for fitness or to enter competition.

Membership

If you are at least 18 years of age and would like to train with us come down for 9 o'clock on a Monday or Thursday and speak to a committee member on the poolside. You may try a couple of sessions as a taster before joining.

Club Sessions

Monday 9 to 10 pm General training — main pool

Wednesday 9 to 10 pm Competitive training —Small pool

(small pool is 4 lane 25metre pool)

Thursday 9 to 10 pm General training — main pool

Alternate Saturdays 7 to 8 am (see notice board for dates). Family session main pool (lanes set aside for more serious training)

Parking

There is a large car park behind the Town Hall, and another adjacent to the bus station (Beaumont Street). Both are free in the evening and have security cameras.

Dolphin Centre Bar

Members can often be found after a strenuous session relaxing in the bar upstairs. Why not join them for a drink and a chat?

Galas

Our own open gala is held annually and attracts competitors from all over the country. All members are welcome to enter. Any offers of help in running this event will be appreciated.

Members of all ages and abilities compete in galas around the country - see the notice board for details. Please ask for an entry form if none are available in the poolside box. A local closing date will apply for club & team entries.

Social Events

The club organises a number of social events which can include family and friends, recent events have included:

Christmas Dinner, Coach Trips, Darts and Domino Evenings, Bowling, Social Evenings, Walks and Rambles, & a Trip Up The River Tees.

Members are invited to put forward any suggestions they may have for a social event.
